New Albany Walking Classic
In addition to the 10K walk, the New Albany Walking Classic has added a half
marathon to its weekend events! The 10K event is unique and one of the most
prestigious of any race in the country. The walker "goodies" and breathtaking course
are second to none. Entries will be limited to the first 3,000 for the 10K - 1,000 for the

The Parkersburg News and Sentinel Half Marathon, Parkersburg, WV
The race includes run, walk, and wheelchair divisions. Prize money and trophies will
be awarded to top finishers. This race has been designated as the 2008 RRCA
National Championship.
The Parkersburg News and Sentinel Two Mile Race will be right after the start of the
half marathon. All ages of runners and walkers are encouraged to participate. We
even have a team division for this race.
On Sunday, August 17 the kids will have a chance to showcase their skills at the
Parkersburg News and Sentinel Junior Races and Tiny Tot Trot. These races will be at
Parkersburg High School and are for ages 11 and under.

A unique course crossing the U.S./Canadian border twice and great musical
entertainment along the way, there's no end to the excitement of this race! Features
the world’s only underwater mile. Due to time constraints for closing bridge and
tunnel, walkers are limited to entering the half only. Competitive and non-competitive
